As well as its beautiful scenery and many attractions, Scotland is also famous for its midges! We want you to enjoy your holiday with adequate protection from midges etc which is why we are offering this advice - we are not affiliated with any of the products or websites that we suggest or recommend.

The Smidge website has lots of good advice including a midge forecast for all areas of Scotland and sells anti midge products which have been developed at a Scottish university for midges and other biting insects.

We have used the Thermacell Halo Mini Mosquito and Midge Protector for a number of years and find it does work.
